During that surreal week between Christmas and New Years Day, when you are never sure what day it is and you are over full from too many Christmas cookies, we decided to take an afternoon off and walk to the Mystic Seaport.

One of my favorite Christmas traditions as an adult is to the Lighted Boat Parade on the Mystic River the Saturday after Thanksgiving every year. Now that we have our shop right in front of the river, it makes that tradition even more enjoyable. We just step out onto the porch and watch the fun! I just downloaded the pictures and want to share my favorites.

Mystic Wooden Boat Show
The wooden Boat Show was here at the Mystic Seaport June 25-27. We've been going as guests for 10 years, but this was our first time as exhibitors. I'll let the pictures do most of the talking.

1.4 miles of para cord used to teach 30 students per hour the art of survival bracelets (macrame for those of us over 40).
