Welcome to Mystic, CT

Greenmaville Avenue, Mystic

Enter the heart of Mystic, Connecticut (our home base) from any direction and you're welcomed by one of four hand-carved wooden signs.

Mystic Seaport ship carvers created the signs for the towns of Stonington and Groton (the two municipalities in which the village of Mystic lies). These signs are reproductions of earlier signs that had deteriorated and needed to be replaced.

The Town of Stonington's Mystic Bridge Historic District and the Town of Groton's Mystic River Historic District lie within the boundaries of these signs and are intended to regulate and preserve the historic appearance of Mystic.
