Shopping Adventures In Downtown Mystic CT

Well if you love to shop, maybe doing some early Christmas shopping, birthday gifts or something for yourself, Downtown Mystic has a large variety of shops all in one small area. You can even get a bite in between at the many restaurants. Mystic is an historic seaport village that offers a variety of independently-owned stores that cater to every taste and interest. Whether you are looking for clothing, gifts, art, jewelry, books, or more, you will find it here.

This adventure takes you from our Cottrell shop, over the bridge, through Main St. ending at the Daniel Packer Inn on Water St. This list is not exactly chronological but close. This is a partial list, you won't believe how many quality shops and restaurants are in this small walkable area!

    Mystic Knotwork Cottrell St. shop

Mystic Knotwork on Cottrell St., overlooking the Mystic River Park, is a family-owned business that has been making traditional nautical knots since 1957. You can find all kinds of handcrafted items made from rope, such as bracelets, coasters, ornaments, door mats, dog toys, key chains, wreaths, trivets, cat toys, and more. The perfect place to find a souvenir that captures the nautical spirit of Mystic!
