Coronavirus quarantine time March 2020 by Jill Beaudoin

March 29, 2020 1 min read

We are in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. The governor ordered all non essential businesses to close. So we laid off all our employees and closed both shops. Matt and I are still shipping out any orders, which is our only source of income right now. Crazy times!

The only silver lining is we have a little more free time right now with both shops closed. We can't do any traveling, but we are doing lots of walking!

I walk by this tugboat every day. She has been on the hard for at least 6 years that I know of. What is her story?

This is Betsy Mongrel. I'm sure you have seen the memes about all the dogs rejoicing because their owners are home. Betsy is not rejoicing. Betsy is very sad and lonely. She misses all her coworkers and customers who lavish her with attention every day.

On Sunday March 22nd we were supposed to have the Mystic Irish Parade. The parade was canceled, but these heroes came out and played for everyone in the park. We all stood at least 6 feet apart from each other to listen. It was a bright spot in a crazy time.

I saw some beautiful rosy sunrises.

I also saw some foggy sunrises.

One day we crossed the bridge and walked down the other side of the river. We found this beautiful sailboat almost directly across from us.

And I will end with some words to live by in this crazy time - When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on.
