Macrame Reindeer Ornament
There's a reindeer in Mystic and he's got a red nose!
Our little red-nosed reindeer is made with macrame knots tied around a wooden ring. He's got a red nose, a pair of antlers and just enough personality to make you smile when you spot him hanging on the Christmas tree.
We make these ornaments by hand at Mystic Knotwork in Mystic, Connecticut. They're a fun change of pace from the knots we tie throughout the year although the same knotting skills go into making each one.
At 3 1/2 inches long and 2 1/4 inches across he's small enough to tuck into just about any spot on your tree. He also looks at home hanging from a wreath tied onto a wrapped present or tucked into a Christmas stocking.
If you collect ornaments this little fellow makes a nice addition. He's also a gift for teachers, coworkers, friends or anyone who appreciates something made by hand rather than coming off an assembly line.
Every reindeer is tied by our team one knot at a time here in Mystic.. Yes we think the red nose is what makes him.
