    Top Vineyards & Wineries Near Mystic, CT

    Late summer, the perfect time of year to visit vineyards and wineries. Bring a picnic, taste some wine and walk through the vines. These vineyards are close to Mystic with a short drive along the beautiful roads of Connecticut. Most have special events so check their website first to find out what is happening!

    Jonathan Edwards Winery

    Located just about 16–20 minutes from Mystic.

    Described as “New England charm, Napa‑style” with a beautiful tasting room offering flights, outdoor seating, and regular events.

     

     

    Saltwater Farm Vineyard

    A coastal winery roughly 10 minutes from downtown Mystic in Stonington.

    Features a restored WWII-era hangar turned tasting venue, with terrace views of marshland, plus live music and food trucks on occasion.

    Stonington Vineyards

    Established in 1987 and one of the founding members of the Connecticut Wine Trail.

    Offers both indoor tasting rooms and outdoor patios ideal for picnics (BYO food encouraged), along with regular events.

    Maugle Sierra Vineyards

    Located just minutes north of Mystic in Ledyard.

    Open year-round with some great tastings, featuring vineyard views and live music on select evenings/weekends.


    Preston Ridge Vineyard

    About 15 miles north of Mystic in Preston.

    A 60-acre property offering a variety of wines, indoor and outdoor seating, live music, and special events like yoga with wine.

    Kingdom of the Hawk

    Fairly new, established in 2018 and located in North Stonington CT. It is the sister property of Saltwater Farm Vineyard. 

    Amazing architecture and sprawling views of the vines, nearby forest and wildlife.
