It's summer, time to have some fun, break into the piggy bank and splurge on a meal at your favorite coastal restaurant. Well our friends Christa and Max did just that, while photographing our Mystic Knotwork products and cruising the southern coast of New England.
Abbott's Lobster in the Rough, Noank, CT
Paddy's Beach Club, Misquamicut Beach, Rhode Island
Shipwright's Daughter at The Whaler's Inn, Mystic, CT
Guys you couldn't have planned this picture any better. Christa and Max were setting up the usual wine and coaster shot for our marketing files when the schooner Argia just happened to motor by Abbott's. Nice job!
-picture perfect New England seafood shack at the mouth of the Mystic River
-order at window and wait for your number, no traditional sit down service
-staff extremely friendly
-clean tables, have a green/red shell system to know what has been sanitized
-fresh local seafood
-byob, we stopped at Stonington Vineyards and got a bottle of Seaport White
-fun to sit by the water and watch the boats go by
-family friendly casual lunch location
-we ordered the OMG Lobster Roll and New England Seafood Feast (lobster, clam chowder, whole steamers and mussels, shrimp, chips and coleslaw)

According to their website, go here for 'Creative Oceanfront Dining', sounds good to me! This is a beachy restaurant and bar where you can be served indoors or out or right on the beach. Rhode Island beaches, right next door to Mystic, are some of the best in the country. Enjoy yourself and the cool ocean breezes.
-great service from Alexa wearing shackle bracelet
-large outdoor dining area with spaced out tables, was very clean
-lounge chair in the sand for rent with full food and drink service
-fun and colorful mixed drinks - we ordered “life’s a beach”
-online reservation required, but have a to-go bar for food and drinks
-family friendly, perfect for casual lunch or dinner with ocean view

The Whaler's Inn, located right in downtown Mystic is near both our knot shops! We are good friends with the folks there, sharing photo shoots and home decor sessions for marketing.... Recently they added The Shipwright's Daughter restaurant, so now you can stay and eat under one roof. The inn and restaurant both overlook the Mystic River and the Bascule Bridge that goes up and down to let the boat traffic go by!
-one of the newest restaurants in mystic
-perfect romantic date night location for couples
-fresh local ingredients
-amazing service
-signature handcrafted drinks were beautiful
-best tuna I have ever had in my life, perfectly seared and seasoned
-chicken was incredible, super tasty
-we don’t normally get dessert but our server strongly recommended the cherry pavlova, it was the best dessert we have ever had
-server was extremely professional, she took care of everything we needed and we never felt rushed
There are plenty more restaurants in this beautiful part of New England. Enjoy!
