Part of the "charm" of New England at this time of year is the weather. There's a quote that's often attributed to Mark Twain that says, “If you don't like the weather in New England now, just wait a few minutes.” With temperatures varying from 20ºF to 60ºF, and back again in a single week, we're looking forward to Spring. While we wait, here are a few quick nautical decor updates to think about.
A brightly painted door with a new rope doormat makes a fine greeting for guests.
Natural rope wreaths look beautiful all year round and are a fresh natural accent you can use before flowers start blooming.
Sailor knot coasters in a rainbow of colors.
Tropical colored napkin rings will make it feel like Spring in your home, even if it's 20ºF outside.
Betsy recommends that you add a dog to your decor, too.
