Boat Parade and Santa arrives by tug  Saturday starting at 2pm

Join us Saturday for the Lighted Boat Parade and Santa's visit by Tugboat, right at the bottom of our workshop steps in Downtown Mystic, CT

Mystic Park Tree in background of Mystic Knotwork TreeBelieve it or not its that time of year again.  The merchants and business of greater Mystic announce the 17th annual Mystic Holiday Lighted Boat Parade.

Santa arrives by tugboat at 2pm to start the festivities across from Mystic Knotwork in the park.

At 6pm, the tree springs to life in a blaze of lights and merriment.  Right after that, the lighted boats parade under the drawbridge and down the river before returning to the park where judges and spectators gather. Prizes are awarded to the most worthy entrants.

We encourage you to bring a toy or coat to support the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center and enjoy one of Mystic's beloved traditions.

It all starts at 2pm the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Brought to you by the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce.

Mystic Lighted Boat Parade image Eastern Regional Tourism DistrictThis is the best time of year for Mystic.  Our lighted boat parade is the same day as Shop Small Saturday. This makes for a relaxing family day supporting our local boutiques while visiting with Santa and watching the world famous boat parade.

Local shops will have their 'Shop Small' specials going on, there will be carolers in the park to entertain us while Santa holds court in his Victorian era velvet and gold to visit and talk with the children.  He told us the kids can leave a list for Santa, and if they include their address, he and the elves at the Chamber will be sure they hear back.

Families arriving early will have a chance  to work on holiday crafts and warm up with hot coffee and cocoa served by Fitch High School.

Of course, we'll be across the street, so stop up and say hi!  We are planning to have some light refreshments of our own as well as our handmade knots and a reveal of more knot ideas that won't be online this season.

The Holiday Season is upon us.  Enjoy your Turkey on Thursday, and we'll see you Saturday, November 24th.
