Our Workshop In Olde Mistick Village

We moved our Holmes St. shop to the Village in June. It is so nice to have the extra room for our products and more tying areas. When you visit you will always experience our artisans tying something, bowls, bracelets, snowmen, wreaths, trivets, Santas and sometimes even gnomes. In both our shops in Mystic you can request custom bracelets tied in your choice of colors.

Yes, knot tyers have to have a sense of humor.

Once it is tightened up the ends are handsewn together.

The lobster rope mats are the only items we don't tie and are purchased in Maine from friends of Matt and Jill. We love them so much and had to carry them in both the shops.

Children love the tree ornaments. Santas, snowmen, angels, and reindeer to name a few.

Children love the cotton baskets especially for egg hunts around Easter.

We tie custom anchor, whale tail and fish hook paracord bracelets too. So many colors and patterns to choose from.

If you are visiting from out of town, we can ship your large purchases. Or if you can't, visit our website and order online. MysticKnotwork.com

    Cottrell St. Shop

The Cottrell St. workshop is in Downtown Mystic overlooking the river and the Mystic River Park. The 200+ year old building makes this old sail loft a historic experience. Wide pine floors and lots of rope everywhere. You'll find on many occasions at least 3 knot tyers at work tying home decor items and bracelets. Can't find your color? As in our other shop, the artisans will help you select your color, figure your size and make your bracelet while you watch.

Making the bowls is quite an art. We have manila bowls and cotton bowls.

The manila room is the hot spot. Door mats, door stops and wreaths are made here.
