This is a growing list of all there is to do in Mystic. I will keep udating as people reach out to me with ideas, or I think of ones that are missing. This is a community project.
I organized everything into zones, so you can plan your trip more easily.
Mystic has something for everyone! Museums, shopping, dining, fun on the water and more.
Website - OldeMistickVillage.com
Olde Mistick Village is a family and pet friendly destination open air shopping center full of unique shops, as well as a duck pond! Right next to the Mystic Aquarium, when planning your trip, schedule these two spots on the same day.
Website - MysticAquarium.org
Beluga whales, sea lions and penquins! Also a nice spot for rainy days, as it is mostly indoors. Don't forget to visit the Olde Mistick Village afterward.
Mystified Escape Rooms
Website - mystifiedct.com
Escape rooms and scavenger hunts, right across the street from the Olde Mistick Village and the Mystic Aquarium. A fun way to end your day in this end of Mystic.
Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center
Website - dpnc.org
Take a relaxing break with your kids here. Walking trails, a museum where kids are allowed to touch everything, and outdoor enclosures with owls and hawks. This place is a respite in the summer chaos of Mystic. Near the Mystic Aquarium and the Olde Mistick Village.

Clydes Cider Mill

Coogan Farm
Website: dpnc.org
Coogan Farm is part of the Pequotsepos Nature Center campus. There are beautiful walking trails. Coogan farm is only a few blocks from the Mystic Seaport.
Elm Grove Cemetery
Website: elmgrovecemetery.org
If you like to walk in cemeteries, don't miss this one! Beautiful water views and tons of history. It is right across the street from the Coogan Farm, and just blocks away from the Mystic Seaport.
Mystic Seaport
Website: mysticseaport.org
There is tons to do at this amazing museum. Stroll though the historic seaport village, visit the shipyard, climb aboard all the ships, including the Charles W Morgan, the last wooden whaling ship in the world.
The Mystic Seaport is right in between the two most popular areas of Mystic - The Olde Mistick Village/Aquarium zone and the historic downtown Mystic/Drawbridge zone.
The next zone is the Historic Downtown Mystic/Drawbridge Area. This is where you can find all the fun things on the water - sailing, kayaking, paddleboarding, tour boat rides, riverboats and watching the drawbridge go up and down. There is also tons of shopping, amazing restaurants and the Mystic Museum of Art.
Drawbridge
The main attraction of downtown, the drawbridge goes up every hour at 20 of the hour (1:40. 2:40 etc) depending on if there are boats waiting. In the summer there are always boats waiting!
Watch a video of the drawdridge going up from inside the bridge tenders house: .
Mystic River Park
One of the most important things to know about the Mystic River Park is this is where the public bathrooms are located! Other things you can find find at this waterfront park is a boardwalk, tons of benches for sitting and watching the boats go by, a spot for fishing, the dinghy dock, the fireboat, a kids playground, as well as icecream and candy.
