    Fall is a beautiful time of year in New England and especially in the Mystic Connecticut area. Not as hot as the action packed summer and not as crowded but still with buckets of things to do!

    Enjoy the changing leaves along the river while experiencing all there is to do in Mystic. Farmer's markets, pumpkin carving, winery visits, corn maze's, haunted tours, fall foliage river tours, kayaking, hiking, vineyard visits, cider mills, and much more.

    B.F. Clyde's Cider Mill

    Satisfy your fall apple craving at Clyde's Cider Mill with an apple cider donut, cold sweet cider, hard cider or apple wine! Enjoy your snacks among picnic tables and chairs arranged throughout the property. In the mill they still use the original pressing machinery from 1898. Clyde's Cider Mill is a National Historic Landmark. This quaint mill is the last steam powered mill in the country and run by the 6th generation Clyde family.

    Haunted Tours - Seaside Shadows

    Learn about local legends and spooks when you take a Seaside Shadows Downtown Mystic Tour or Mystic Moonlit Graveyard Tour. The Seaside Shadows Team will take you by lantern light through Downtown's busy areas of shops and restaurants surrounding the drawbridge while telling tales and revealing local legends. The cemetery tours travel through the Whitehall Burial Ground where you will learn about the Whitehall Mansion ghosts. Visit for the spooky details!

    For a wonderful, historical river tour, weather permitting, give them a call for a cruise on an antique picnic boat built in 1947. The experienced captain will take you back in time as he talks about Mystic history and his favorite Mystic areas.

    26th Annual Antique Vehicle Show at the Mystic Seaport

     Visit Mystic Seaport Sept. 23 for a step back in time on the grounds of their maritime village. Over 100 pre 1932 vintage cars. More details at mystic seaport.

    There are quite a few local farmer's markets, including actual farm stands that celebrate fall with all the seasonal treats and even some pumpkin painting and corn mazes. Apparently the whole state of Connecticut is known for incredible corn mazes! Start your corn maze and farmer's market search at

    Located in nearby Stonington, a great place to visit anytime. The main building is a re-designed airplane hangar and there is lot's of history to read about here! Wine is available for purchase by the glass or bottle and you can bring your own food.
