They still use the original pressing machinery from 1898 and were recently declared a National Historic Landmark. Learn about local legends and spooks when you take a Seaside Shadows Downtown Mystic Tour or Mystic Moonlit Graveyard Tour. The Seaside Shadows Team will take you by lantern light through Downtown's busy areas of shops and restaurants surrounding the drawbridge while telling tales and revealing local legends. This is truly scary and not for the faint of heart! These are exceptional one hour performances that tour a 1/3 – 1/2 mile of uneven terrain including cobblestone, wood planking, grass, gravel, and stairs. You walk or stand for most of the show. There are quite a few local farmer's markets, including actual farm stands that celebrate fall with all the seasonal treats and even some pumpkin painting and corn mazes. Nov. 1 & 2 Time to get spooked while you walk through this beautiful nature trail. A Halloween themed self-guided tour with weird and wild animals, glowing jack-o-lanterns and scary, delightful creatures of all kinds.
